We are the Northern Exotics and Wildlife Troopers (N.E.W.T.).

We are a wildlife conservation organization based in Baguio City, Philippines.

We advocate wildlife conservation and responsible pet ownership, as well as the promotion of the exotic pet hobby.

Our activities include animal show and tells, seminars, wildlife rescue and release, and animal exhibits.

The Philippines is a biodiversity hot spot. with over 1,500 islands and over 20,000 different species of wildlife. From insects, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, avian and fish.

A big part of the country is still covered in tropical and mountain forests and provides a safe habitat for various wildlife. But with human activities and developments, these areas have come at risk. Not only that, but hunting and poaching has caused wildlife populations to drop. This is where the N.E.W.T. comes in. teaching the locals about this animals and grooming the next generation as the new guardians of the countries wildlife.

The N.E.W.T. works with local schools and organizations as well as the Department of Environment and Natural Resources to spread awareness and information about local and exotic wildlife.

The N.E.W.T. works alongside other animal welfare groups to promote and uphold animal welfare.
